Don’t drain my brain

don’t shove it in a jar

don’t steal my brain

for science, thief you are.

My special brain

is not for scientists

to poke and prod

and laugh out loud!

Incinerate me

and scatter my ashes

don’t cut off chunks

and pass it in batches.

Don’t dissect

neurons and glia

to see the signs

let me out of

beer cooler confines.

No matter

how you try to pry

my brain is not

much different

than yours

so don’t try

to discover why

my brain

flies sky high.

The money is wasted

could be pasted

on other research.

My brain is not meant

to be lent!
