Notre Dame

It’s sad yes

But

It’s not a tragedy!

The loss of life is a tragedy.

Hungry children starving

When there is an abundance of wasted food.

Thirsty people with only contaminated water to drink is a travesty

Homeless persons sleeping at the steps of churches or other places of worship in snow

Whilst the clerics dine in opulence

Is my definition of tragic

Please can we get things in perspective for the sake of humanity

From the Sports Page

It has been called, “ugly, slow, old-fashioned, boring, and hard to watch.”

But to see five diverse young men (Brooklyn, California, Guinea Africa, Indiana, Philadelphia ranging from 5′8″ to 7′) in lockstep, each knowing his role and staying within it, each of the five moving in different directions like some crazy, mechanical model of the cosmos, each of them constantly in the right place at the right time, always in perfect postion to help one another as though they are a stick puzzle where moving one moves all of the others while keeping them spaced perfectly, and spread perfectly... that is the defense of the University of Virginia Cavalier basketball team under Coach Tony Bennett, and it is a beautiful thing to watch, while their humility post game was a refreshing thing to hear.

It is also a National Championship team... and well deserved.

And it is none of those things listed in the first sentence.

“Go ’Hoos!”

Trump 2020?!??!?!

I'm going to be honest here.

Has anyone heard of Kid President? The awesome guy on YouTube who gets shown in school classes to promote tolerance?

I think the world would be a much better place if HE would be elected 2020. He has such tolerance and hope and optimism in his videos. Imagine if that was put in charge of our country rather than a hateful bully like Trump. Wouldn't that be beautiful? Even if you support Trump going in for 2020, you have to admit, the world would be a better place if Kid President were in charge.

He has such a good heart and such infectious optimism that I think our world needs. A lot. He honestly is really inspiring to me. So, for all you voters out there, spread the word: Kid President 2020!

A Pep Talk From Kid President:

Feast On My Tears

Writye??? (its Olde English!)

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/amp27099740/sweat-bees-eyes-taiwanese-woman-he/

Feast on my tears

You may tear at my fears

As you pin prick my eyes

Something inside me dies.

You may feast on my tears

As you have done for years

Sucking out my emotion

With your honey-lies lotion

But my soul will survive you

And they’ll never revive you

When my tears finally drown you

Taste the poison like I do

As you feast on my tears.

the fire

No one notices the needy

No one notices those without fame

Everyone sees the fire

While ashes fall into the eyes of the poor

No one notices

Who is to blame

Media shows what’s deemed important

Those in need sit in silence

Overlooked, unaided

Left to their own to deal with the violence

Look all around you

Look a your world

What’s more important

The material things or every boy and girl

Who fend for themselves

No money to spare

While millions get given for things

No one really cares

Long Live Japan

Politics? I’ve never been that interested… but when it’s something as big as a coronation, heads turn! Including mine. For some background, Emperor Akihito is the current ruling monarch of Japan. The Crown Prince Naruhito will ascend the throne at the end of April; he has a younger brother, the Prince Akishino. Here’s the part I was slightly miffed about. Crown Prince Naruhito has a daughter, and only a daughter, the Princess Aiko. After Naruhito should have been her, as she is the direct descendant and the great-granddaughter of Hirohito. Instead the throne will go to Prince Akishino’s son after Naruhito. Because Princess Aiko is a girl. She’s currently my age, but the little son of Prince Akishino, Prince Hisahito, will be emperor after Naruhito! He is only 12! That said, I am a bit upset about gender discrimination of our princess.

However, after some thought put into a project I had in school, I’ve decided that truly, what will keep the nation together? I shouldn’t be angry about something out of my control, even if I believe in it, because for the good of the country we must not divide. Also, I believe little Hisa will be a good leader. Not in a powerful sort of way, perhaps, or strategic, but he loves education and his people. He’s already being a great “senpai” to his younger classmates<3

That said, I’m prouder of my nation now. Voluntary decision.

Long live Japan<3

No Fault of My Own

It's not the fire

So much as the smoke

That wraps around me

And begins to choke

It's never the fear

But more of the rush

That shoves me forwards

Until my words gush

And only the light

From the fires in the sky

Can bring my heart higher

Can make my spirits fly

But in the middle of my fire

There's a tragedy

My wings may not waver

But I'm pulled by gravity

Political Paradox : A hypothetical ironic expression of democratic elections.

Circus of the polity

Rhapsody of miracles

Collage of the colourful lies

The masses watch this democratic dance

As the temperature rises in the summer sky.

Circus of the polity

Series of fabricated promises

Painted on posters

Shouted on speakers

Blurted by media

Financed by mafia

And applauded by the audience

Willingly or not; who cares?

Circus of the polity

Culture of irony

Where truth is silenced by bag of notes or at gun point

Hypothetical progress grins at the flashy statistics and bar graphs

And votes are awaited to be swallowed

By political stalwarts

Who speak in black and white

But practice otherwise.

Circus of the polity

A contest of corrupts

Democracy to the contrary

Where the liberal tiger winces

At the whip of multiple ringmasters

It jumps inside out of the burning ring of corrupt metal wire.

Burns itself all the time.

No one sees the wounds

But yes, we, the audience clap and cheer.

Circus of the polity

Powerplay of the shallow

Where the sincere will is butchered.

Systematically and silently.

Where magnificence is perpetuated

Through speechs and statues,

What I think this is nothing but a deceptive hoax.

A political paradox,

Where fair faced picture is chaos behind the scenes.

However it doesn’t end here,

Even with the ruler on the throne.

The tug of war continues

With yet another game of thrones,

With an occasional forecast of star wars

And an undecided outcome

An uncertain endgame.

Tee Berry Road

I would like to tell you my opinion about an issue we are having in my county at the moment. I do not have the links though.

I love in a small community where there is so much goes on even the cops are afraid to come here. We have very many issues in this small town. We deal with drugs, ghost, and violence. Yes, very unusual town.

The story begins on a small back road named Tee Berry. Its ones of the many roads so excluding you get away with anything on it. We also have a single headstone that sits in the woods that supposedly belongs to a witch. That shows you how secluded it is. A few weeks ago I was watching scanner feed and on that road they had found many unusual things. There was a report of trash thrown down the mountain for many of miles. The trash included things like couches, televisions, and other house hold items. Looking further into the trash they found a dead cow. Someone had thrown into off the mountain. On this backroad there was no livestock. The cow was killed and just dumped off the side of the road. Who does this? Was it part of a satanic ritual? Luckily there was a tag on the cows ear where the cow can be traced to its owner. There is still no updates to this part of the unusual story.

Feeling thathey would could not find anything more unusual than that, they ran across a crate. I couldn't imagine what they was thinking opening this crate. Inside was five dogs that had been killed. Who kills five dogs, takes the trouble to put them in a crate, and throws them off the mountain. It was a horrible site when I saw the pictures on the Carter County Scanner News Feed. The same questions came to mind. Who would do this? Why would they do this? An update was revealed but was only someone's opinion. They stated in an opinion " someone stole the dogs out of another person's yard and shot them." In my opinion that person may have known more than they cared to share.

In my opinion if we take care of the many problems in our community such as drugs and violence, we will see in a decrease in the unusual issues that our community has been facing.

Sri Lanka

I wrote this recently after the Easter Sunday massacres. It's a poem in reaction to what I read in various news stories.
