The last grain of sand
A mother's vengenance striking upon the scum,
and everything that is their creation.
The once proud edifices that meant the pinnacle of power
now turned into rubble and dust.
Clouds of darkness engulfing me
Not a sliver of light or a glimmer of hope
Blinded by the devil's trident
all I hear is the agony of perishing souls.
Earth erupting from beneath me,
sucking me into an endless fiery abyss.
The last grain of sand left
in my hourglass of life
Ending closer to the almighty
than when I arrived.
Space Beyond
Blinding darkness, numbing silence
light years of it to every side;
ways to describe its humbling dominance.
Laws set in stone for us to abide.
Hiding behind god's shadow of delusion
to avoid answers more concrete.
A lot left for another day of expedition
with only a drop in this vast ocean mapped.
One day, some day maybe a chance
to plant the flag in the space beyond.
