THAT’S WHY OUR SOULS DIED
I saw the best minds of my generation
They have dream but aren’t interested in realizing it
I’m going to be the best governor, teacher or lawyer
They see the success and achievement of their family
But neglect the hardship and failure behind those glories
They flaunt about what their parents own
And ignore what they really have
The only thing that matters is the money
Is the reputation
I’m standing on the top
Watching my generation sink into endless imagination
Their fantasy grabs their roots
Stabs into the rich soil, and grows thicker to grasp those yellow dirt
Brings all the roots toward the core of the Earth
Locks them to the narrow dungeon
Till the sun erodes the planet, and the land collapses into pieces
I’m standing on the top
Watching my generation fall into dreary wayside
They keep falling into the abyss which was created by themselves
I saw the best minds of my generation
Some of them awoken by the reality
And some of them are still immersing in that backwater
They can’t blame anything or anyone
Because it’s the time for them to swallow their pride
And embrace their graves
