what you have to share with the world can do good.
how depression treated me
its a false sense of security.
its a warm, soft blanket so inviting
that you don't feel yourself suffocating under its weight
until you can't move your arms.
its the guilty pleasure of escaping the reality
it has made you dread coming home to.
its that old pair of glasses that distort your vision,
but you can't seem to take them off.
its the sad song you know makes you cry
but you just want something to feel.
its the empty feeling you get when you realize-
you've skipped four meals. you haven't left bed.
its feeling everything and nothing, all at once.
its numb.
