Some nights they would sit with each other

under the sky, staring deep into the heavens, 

admiring the scattered moon dust before them.

They would get lost in the moments 

spent with each other, 

and they could never figure out,

if they were gazing at the stars

or the stars were gazing at them.

Molton-gold stars winked 

at her as she gazed

upon the vast collection

of shimmering diamonds 

in the sky.

She marveled at the breathtaking 

beauty stationed right

before her eyes

letting every last extraordinary detail sink in

hoping one day that she may be

as extraordinary as the gleaming stars

in the sky.
