Aqueous Eyes
I stand silently
as sinews of sibilant sounds
seek release
from pin pricked lingering light
in shriveled womb
of yesterday, tiptoeing
through stagnant stillness
of waveless waters.
Vibrations violate
pristine peaceful vapors
as loneliness lingers
with absentee light.
Aqueous eyes ache
in abject aloneness.
Life’s puzzles loom
as they linger
mesmerizing
the bold moon, waning
immersed in the halo
of daunting truth
reflecting fleetingly
on fallen fallow seeds.
Tangled trails wind
ethereal shadows
of thorns, unraveled
aisles leading nowhere
seagulls screech
taunting tales in dirges
Death dives deeply, delving
into expressionless existence.
