Chapter 3

"You okay?" He asked "Yeah, I'm fine." I said "You hungry?" He asked standing up "Yeah." I said "Eggs? Cereal? Oatmeal?" He took eggs out of the fridge "Eggs." I said "I-Is Blake... Gay?" I asked "Uh, He hasnt told me anything about that." Danny responded "Okay." I said "Why?" He asked "Doesnt matter." I said "Do you... Like him?" Danny asked "No! no. no. I have a boy-girlfriend. I have a girlfriend." I almost had said I had a boyfriend and even though I did, I didnt want to risk him being homphobic too. I hope he didnt notice my slip up. "It's okay. I'm not homophobic, I have gay friends. Just because I'm straight doesnt mean I'll hate you for being gay." He handed me and plate then sat down scross from me. "Okay. I have a boyfriend already. I'm gay. I hoped you hadnt caught that slip up cause I was scared you were homophobic like Blake." I revealed "I am definitly not homophobic. Whose your boyfriend?" He asked "Only, If you wanna tell me of course." He quickly added "It's okay. His name if Charlie." I reached for my phone in my pocket but it wasnt there. "Hold on." I said and scrambled up to my room where I found it on my bed and Blake was on his bed. He looked up. "Michael," He got up. I grabbed my phone and left. I had a text from Charlie.

Charlie: hey

Charlie: you there?

Charlie: Michael?

Charlie: Michael??

Me: im here. im here. im here.

Charlie: I thought you had like run off with Blake or something. lol

Me: Why would I run away with a homophobic dude?

Charlie: He isnt homophobic.

"You texting your boyfriend?" Danny asked once I got back to the table "Maybe." I said with a little smile. "What does he look like?" Danny inquired. I pulled up a photo of me and Charlie that I had, We were kissing in it. "Awww. You guys are so cute! Does he live here?" "Sadly no, he lives in Pennslyvania." I said "How'd you guys meet?"

"Where's Maddie?" I asked "She had gone over to a friends house last night."

We headed to school and I had done my best to avoid Blake all day, witch worked pretty well. At lunch I sat infront of the building where my next class was. I skyped Charlie with my earbuds in. "Hey." I said "Hey." He responded "I'm glad we have a relatively close lunch time. Wish it wasnt only ten minutes though. It's lonely here." I sighed "Yeah. Why arent you sitting with Blake?" "Different lunch." I lied "Ah. What happened this morning between you and him? You left me kinda early." He asked "Nothing happened between us, I left and ate breakfast and then went to school. Are you jealous of him?" I was curious as to why he kept talking about Blake. "Do I have any reason to be jealous?" He was acting weird "No. I'm yours, all yours, only yours." I said "Good." He smiled a little but he seemed distracted "Why are you acting so weird? Whats wrong? What do you know that you arent telling me?" I intergated "BlakeLikesYouAndIWasWorriedYouMightLikeHimBack." He said really quickly but I was still able to understand "What?! Where did you get this information? Why would you think that?" I kinda felt hurt that he'd think I'd betray him "Blake told me himself. He likes you." He said "How?" "We've been texting." He seemed ashamed "Since when?" I felt betrayed "This morning. I texted you and then I randomly got a text from him. and we were talking and he told me how lucky I was to have you and that he likes you. " I heard someone else's faint voice in the background but couldnt make out who they were or what they were saying. "I gotta go. I'll talk to you later." He looked somewhere that I couldnt see then hung up.

I thought about Blake liking me. He was cute. I have thought about us dating. It would be nice. No. We are step brothers. It's wrong.

I dont know how long I was thinking about Blake but the next thing I know The bell rings and I have to head to class. After school as I left the building someone touched my shoulder "Hey." I turn around to see one of the twins "Danny. I have black hair he has brown hair, That's an easy way to tell us apart." I noded "Blake's staying after school today for some football thing so it'll just be us." We headed to his car

"What does your family do for thanksgiving?" I asked during the drive "We just have a thanksgiving meal. Our last day of school before break is Friday, 2 more days." He seemed excited "Wish Charlie was with me though." I muttered under my breath, Danny wasnt suppose to hear me. "Bet you miss him a lot." He said "Yeah, He was great. We had such great times together. Right before we left I spent the night with him.He's my first boyfriend." I revealed "That's special. For him to be your first boyfriend." He said "Yeah." I smiled.

At home I did my homework and texted Charlie. The bedroom door opened and I looked up to see a sweaty Blake. "I need to talk to you." I said
