Poem #3
This carnival keeps spinning,
I no longer feel my feet.
Beyond just this numbeness,
I feel complete defeat.
I only wore this mask,
Since you seemed to want me to.
The lies just kept on building,
An act we fell into.
And now the mask is gone,
And you hate all that you see,
You wanted the fake act,
Not the actual true me.
So now we're both just here,
Make up streaming down my face,
For the truth we both know well,
This clown you can replace.
