Styrofoam

Not exciting, bland and weak,

A function I serve,

Though only temporarily.

Immense damage

To the environment, I cause.

Those poor birds, and fish,

Choking on the discraded mess.

Let us hope that soon ,

This waste of packing material,

Stuck inside boxes,

But never outside,

Will be replaced

With something more :

More friendly,

More colorful,

More substantial,

More economical,

More lively.

And that’s all.
