Lies

I lied.

I opened my mouth,

and I said

"I'm over you."

I didn't even realize

Just how much of a lie

It actually was,

until it was said and done.

And I am so sorry

That it isn't true.

Oh God,

I wish it was.

But I can't be selfish anymore,

And it doesn't matter anyway.

We're friends,

And I love that.

I truly do.

It wasn't a mistake.

I did what's right,
