Automatic Welcoming
12: Greeting
“Hello!” The robotic voice spoke so clearly. They tried to make the robot as life like as possible, but this was weird to experience. She wasn’t real, she wasn’t feeling any emotions.
“Hello.” Annabeth had said, tired and placid at first. “Mark a schedule.”
“Ready.”
“5 o’clock pm, there’s a barbeque going on. It’s severely important, but you know I hate the host and I don’t want to go.” Annabeth confessed.
The robot only nodded. “Understood. I will notify the host that you’re unable to make it due to… sickness.” The robot’s eyes flashed a yellow, then she blinked. “Done, you are free 5 pm.”
“Thank you.” Annabeth sighed.
I looked to the android walking next to this man. He was a haggard man, run down and pale. Much different from his young android. “Hello, Adam.” The man tiredly said. “Buy peanut butter from the store.”
“Mr. Harrison.” The robot spoke back, monotone as he was. “I must inform you, you are allergic to peanut butter.”
“Are you denying my request, Adam?”
“Right away, sir.” The android followed behind the old man, slowly and making sure he hadn’t fallen.

The pedestrians casually walk like no other. This was unfair, terrible, upsetting. I can think of more synonyms, each one of a negative connotation. Agitating, flustering, unnerving, unmanly, confounded, perturbing, disturbing, puzzl-
“8097, enter name.”
“Entering name.”
“Jamie.”
“Hello, Jamie.”
