The hour was late,
And Katrina had a date! She was on a promise and she would get that which she desired the most.
She’d been looking forward to this all week and decided that she’d circumvent the truth if her plans this weekend as she didn’t feel like being disturbed, yet again, just when things began to heat up.
Katrina managed to dodge her colleagues weekly pub visits on that premise alone this week. She wondered how it is she managed to do it every week for the past two years. How is it exactly, that she successfully feigned interest with her work “mates” (for lack of a better description).
Could they not tell that she was all the way anti(social) with regard to them. Every week they fawn over gossip about anyone who deigns not show up. But if everyone showed up, they’d have nothing to discuss. She spent every minute of her time there on her phone - and had no problems having fake phone calls when her loved ones didn’t call in time.
She didn’t like them and they didn’t like ANYBODY. Chances are, they didn’t even like themselves that much.
But I digress!
Katrina made a mental note to keep this one going. This would be a long term relationship even when it ceased.
Once she got home, Katrina indulged in the getting ready for her date. She had enjoyed a power shower and now it was time to run a bubble bath, light her candles and pour pint glass (one of many pilfered from many a pub over the years) with some cheap plonk.
She put on the central heating just to keep the quickly sozzled element of the weekend going and lay back on her bath pillow with her date.......
