Goodbye My Lover
Bitten lips press against tender skin
Feeling the anguish radiating sin
She responds, much to my chagrin
By leaning back and inviting me in.
We dance so passionately slow,
You letting me decide the tempo,
As we continue until you show
That you are ready for me to go.
I leave abruptly without a kiss,
Though I think about your lips
Looking at me, uttering a low hiss,
Saying how I'm who you'll always miss
I wish I had given you my might
And shown you you're all mine
They found you, bruised and alight
And now I'll think about is that night.
