You danced so lightly into my closed heart

tiptoeing by my insecurities

piercing through with a loving, caring, dart

opening up new possibilities

I’m trusting that bitterly we’ll not part

sailing together through adversity

for our voyage, I have drawn up no chart

Can’t summon a sea of serenity

I’m no good at the culinary arts
