The Death, of “Us”
You tried and then left me dry so I died.
dehydrated from the lack of love
but then you cried
and you tried again
to fill my heart
with times that still felt
right...
but I was lying in cold bed sheets rhyming incoherent words, flying to the motherland of broken hearted dreams.
and then we fell like stars that once burned brightly in the cosmos of destiny,
(but I still can’t understand why we are falling when I feel so much tender sparks of renewal?)
Yet we fall. Fall apart. Fall to different parts of the world because our time is over.
(I just wished it lasted longer...that my hope held like the luster of that star).
