As we lay
For as we lay,
The sun, the moon, the stars at play.
Ivory limbs framed casually,
A midnight velvet sea of stars and night.
Whispers caught like fireflies in webbed constraint,
A little closer, a little closer,
A bridge of ecstatic breath.
The lights above, shadows between,
Cold to the touch; icy embers ignite goosebumped delight.
Call me yours, for you are mine,
Across the spaces, flesh and time.
