Cheers
To the random old lady who asked for directions,
Thank you for giving me a lift and for not killing me —
Or hitting that pedestrian.
To the man who was hired to cook on a fishing boat,
I really learned a lot from you.
So thank you for showing me how not to cook and also not killing the crew.
(Which was a real concern before the captain extinguished the diesel stove fire)
To all the recruiters who have ignored my job applications,
Thank you for allowing me to live my life.
Although you should hire me,
Money is getting tight and I won't under-deliver like that so-called cook.
To myself,
Thank you for conquering your fears and never giving up.
I'm also glad to be alive most days,
Especially when my stomach is full and I don't have to deal with society.
To my family and friends,
Sometimes you really make me want to kill myself,
But I couldn't live on this earth without you all.
