Moonbeam Shoulders

Moonbeams lift me on shoulders

into embroidered light

cradled in star blankets.

I soar on burnished wings

dipping and gliding

on whispered thoughts.

Milky Way flashes her jewels

as I take little white sips

quenching ravenous thirst.

Skimming on path of freedom

ignited trails leading way,

dusty embers in my dreams.

I float aimlessly without roots

twirling in circles blown by wind

lost in the darkened clouds.

I tear off little pieces of me

to leave my mark in the sky

paralyzed moments in time,

traces of my life crumbs

leading me home.
