Let's make a paradise! This can be anything you envision as the perfect place to go and relax. Perhaps a beach, or a waterfall or maybe some romantic city. Maybe it's a room in your house. Be creative! My retreats are always nature related, perhaps yours are too or perhaps they are quite different. Take me with you and walk me there. Show me around. Any type of writing. Prefer poetry. Paradise
Can I run away to a cabin?
On the top of a mountain?
Surrounded by fields of flowers?
I'll hide away above a dark forest
Shrouded in mist at daybreak
I'll sit around a warm hearth
A tabby cat purring on my lap
Peering out my rain- covered windowpane
To the colorful sky and valley below
Where the distant city lights are on display
Yet all the city can see of me
Is the curling smoke
Above the tall, green trees
And know that it comes from
Some mysterious chimney
Where I don't heed the daily calls of routine
