The Gordian Knot
This is one of my favorite stories, so I made it into a humorous poem instead.
Alexander the great,
the greater than the greatest,
had heard of a knot
that no one could untie.
It was rumored only the best
could do so,
so he went.
He went to untie it,
and he did so,
while sitting on his horse.
He took out his mighty sword,
and sliced the tie in half.
(of course, that was not the objective of the knot)
Yet as he looked around,
His mighty sword still in hand,
the villagers were thought,
I actually value my life,
so out loud they said,
Alexander the great is truly great!
Behind his back they said,
honestly, imma have panic attacks about that sword
The feeling of Being Content
Content is like a higher form of happiness.
More everlasting, less turbulent.
Content is for those who know themselves,
who believe in the best.
Being content does not mean your life is perfect.
It does not mean everything is now right and good and righteous.
It only means you are happy with yourself.
It only means that you at least try.
it doesn't mean that you are the first in the race,
It means you completed it,
and that is enough for you.
It means your happiness is not based on others,
on how they react,
on how many people are in your life.
Content is self-reflection,
and realizing that who you are right now,
the person you are with,
stuck for life,
is someone you are happy to be with.
