She Was
She was;
enchanted by midnight, elated by one.
She was;
elevated near two, cursing the Sun.
She was;
bewitched by three, dreaming 'til five.
She was;
disillusioned at Sunrise, that she was alive.
She was;
tattered by morning, no place near the light.
She was;
never herself, except in the night.

3 AM
Solace near 3 AM, lulled by still nothingness. Yesterday's noose loosens and dissipates into the night sky like scattered stars. The dire, disquiet of morning has yet to present on the blackened horizon. Lying in limbo, she is spared this fleeting and solitary moment of tranquility.

Fate
Cold steel, sweaty hand, drunken Devil slumbered. Bad luck, jammed up, Devil kept his number. Sent to kill an Angel, slighted object of his rage. Bloodied hammer earned him eighteen years inside a cage. Even from his prison cell, he whispered in her ear. Letters sent, his message meant for her to live in fear. Tormented, she'd rewind that night she'd nearly stole his breath. Lucky Devil never knew he'd narrowly cheated death.
