3 AM
Solace near 3 AM, lulled by still nothingness. Yesterday's noose loosens and dissipates into the night sky like scattered stars. The dire, disquiet of morning has yet to present on the blackened horizon. Lying in limbo, she is spared this fleeting and solitary moment of tranquility.

She Was
She was;
enchanted by midnight, elated by one.
She was;
elevated near two, cursing the Sun.
She was;
bewitched by three, dreaming 'til five.
She was;
disillusioned at Sunrise, that she was alive.
She was;
tattered by morning, no place near the light.
She was;
never herself, except in the night.

Fate
Cold steel, sweaty hand, drunken Devil slumbered. Bad luck, jammed up, Devil kept his number. Sent to kill an Angel, slighted object of his rage. Bloodied hammer earned him eighteen years inside a cage. Even from his prison cell, he whispered in her ear. Letters sent, his message meant for her to live in fear. Tormented, she'd rewind that night she'd nearly stole his breath. Lucky Devil never knew he'd narrowly cheated death.

6 Inches
City night walkin', city street talkin', smooth like concrete. Steps tall like she owns them, dances hot on the beat. Her presence is thunder, storm six inches high. Eyes follow her toe up her calf to her thigh. Six inches below, their words make no sound. Slips on her stilettos, worries left on the ground.

Proud
O, self-indulgent woman, your body is a sin. Raven locks of discord, wipe the red stain from your grin. That dress you wear, the fabric sheer, go put on something plain. It draws too much attention when you're dancing in the rain. Sad song you sing, 'bout all your pain, stop singing it so loud. Shoulders back, gaze toward the Sun, beautiful and proud.

Song
Smells hot like smooth legs and cloudy windows, cracked. Cool breeze on bare shoulders, cool breeze on his back. Wood grain and leather, heels under the seat. Perfume in her hair, slow jam on repeat. Stars dot the black sky, your hand on her thigh. You'll touch her body but can't reach her mind. Bend your cool like she made you and sings her sweet song. Voodoo on her lips, voodoo...

Leave, Don’t Leave...
Red and pulsating, wrapped around your sanity like twisted scar tissue. You tread fervently through my choppy seas, over and under...nearly drowned. Your arrested chaos, still my storm rages on. Waves crashing in the dark, driving you from me...release. Satisfied, still overwhelmed, you drift away only to witness the beauty of my Sun over the horizon...don't leave.
