Unfinished
Overlooking an icy stream, trees stand proud with their resilience and greenery on display. Everything here is built to withstand the cold, from the natural to the man made. Built up icicles holding strong to the coves and cliffs appear so fragile, but the truth is their delicate forms have been reinforced over time through the wind and precipitation.
The massive walls surrounding the stream are gradually eroding away and reveal new characteristics throughout the years. From the sky receiving nourishment, and from the earth inspiration, the growth only improves. While imperfect and rugged, there are no mistakes here.
I’m a snowman
"What's it like?" I hear the man say. The child looks down at the flakes that make up my being and replies, "Cold Daddy!"
I'm cold.
Daddy laughs and picks up the boy. "Let's make something," Daddy says as he begins to scoop large chunks of me into his hands. He forms a large ball and rolls it over my surface, collecting more and more flakes until he has a knee-high sphere.
"Ball!" says the child. "Yeah! A big ball," Daddy replies.
I'm ball. I'm a big ball.
"Here, you try it buddy." Daddy holds buddy's hands and forms a slightly smaller ball and places it on top of the first ball. Buddy and Daddy roll one more ball and place it on top. Daddy has Buddy find a few smooth stones to create buttons and a face on the creation.
Daddy tells Buddy, "He needs a hat." Buddy takes off his hat and hands it to Daddy to put on their masterpiece’s head.
"It's a snowman bud! Good job, he looks happy!" Buddy smiles and hugs Daddy's legs.
I'm a snowman. I'm happy.
