What Wisdom is to me
Putting yourself in another’s shoes
And to be understanding
To be light in the dark
To learn
To grow
To show love to everyone you meet
Even if they seem undeserving
To help and teach
Realizing that you are always going
to learn
Be open to new ideas and learn to love new things
Wisdom is infinite...

Fatal Thoughts
Many thoughts that we think every day pose some kind of danger whether its internal or external. Maybe the thought with the most danger could be one of outer harm, like jumping in front of a bus. Or maybe the most dangerous situations come from within. Teddy Roosevelt said something along the lines of "All we have to fear is fear itself" and sadly this isn't true. So many things we encounter in our daily life require fear to function, to evolve. Our society fears fear, but thats not what we should all be afraid of. What is the average person more afriad of, a black widow or not making rent? Which one poses a more immediate and realistic threat? That depends on the person. A false sense of security can be very dangerous, sometimes a fatal danger. Whats scarier walking on a tight rope, or the crocodiles lurking under the water below it? That depends on what is real and what is fake. The human mind is prone to imagination and curiousity, and curousity is one sense that has been known to forever be a danger to people. Poking your head into the water, getting to close to a spider, wondering if you can beat a bus, testing your boss's patience. All are risks that are spawned by the most fatal and dangerous thought, or idea. Curiousity.
Worst Enemy
The idea that one’s self
Isn’t worthy enough,
Does far more hurt
Than the words or actions
Of another ever could
Thinking such thoughts,
It’s unbearably easy
To fall into despair,
But much harder
To burrow a way out
The darkness engulfs all,
Bearing down, snapping,
Like a rabid dog
Ready to bite
It slinks into the crevices,
All the nooks left unguarded
Soon, it has become
Just another part of you
And when it’s done,
You’re never quite the same,
Emotions and dreams torn away
The damage a mere thought
Can cause,
Effortlessly wrought
In the end, a person’s
Worst enemy,
Is always
Their own mind
What if?
What if I don't know?
What if they don't want me?
What if he says no?
What if they don't believe me?
What if I run away?
What if I disappear?
What if I'm not okay?
What if you aren't here?
What if I am alone?
What if no one cares?
What if my chance was never blown?
What if my heart fills with despair?
What if I say the wrong word?
What if I lose you forever?
What if you tell me that's absurd?
What if again, I'll see you never?
The Sun Will Stop Burning
The Sun is a star. Like all stars, it will stop burning. It could happen at any moment. Although, it’s not estimated to burn out for another 5 billion years.
The Sun will stop burning. Everything in our Solar system will die.
What stops a person from realizing everything we know on Earth will eventually die without a Sun, and wanting to hurry along the process?
Nothing.
Thoughts from the Dark side
I see your point Common Sense; I really do, but... I paid for this product.... so how expired can it really be?
What if the date on the box is just a suggestion? Or what if we've been lied to, and food never actually expires. It might very well be a grand marketing strategy pulled by the Behind-the-scenes schemers of the universe; all for the elaborate ploy of swindling us consumers into buying more of their stuff.
What say you then, Common Sense? What. Say. You. Then?
