Time to Grow
Haunting memories from the year don’t just disappear,
All the pain and wounds scar from wear and tear,
People eat at their delicate hearts to get through each day,
Pretending things are just okay,
Years go by in attempt to heal,
New memories cloud how we as humans feel,
Each new moment is an escape to paradise,
Walking in the light, like a sacrifice,
Yielding towards caution because of prior scares,
Empty enough to play truth or dare,
After all, what would happen if the past was let go,
Remembering it’s okay to change in order to grow.
Melting Me
They peel through my iced surface, like a fiery sensation gasping to take my next breath.
They give me hints of pleasuring peace, as I long for these intriguing moments.
They cause me to have an inner vibration that speak to me, so fluent.
They are an addicting service making me a hot mess in distress.
They are those calm gazing eyes that are secretly melting me.
