Morning Mist
Orange tinted webbed feet beneath the surface, Early morning
Sunrise hasn't approached yet, soon
Fuzzy green stained rocks crowd the shore
Slimy when touched
A swift breeze approaches
It's confronting me, I step into it
How do you do?
Condensation forms in the creases of my nose, Welcome
Morning mist settles
Everything feels personal
It's mine
Nature belongs to me
In The Woods
Marshmallow capped mountains sticky with fog
A cabin sits among its backdrop
Modern with minimal amenities
Flush with books and journals alike
Composed of redwood and pine
Air thick with scents of the neighboring forest
Limpid glass encased in native wood
Oblige the suns rays, they pierce through
Sun rises atop snowy mountains
I sip strong coffee with little cream
Stimulation is limitless
Streams flow through carved spaces
Nature in all of her abundance
Beset my dainty cabin in the woods
I'm in my own world
Integrated
It is only when the city sleeps I find myself unfeignedly awake
No longer am I prudently optimistic
My eyes open wide as all outside, my mind quiet, dormant
Temporarily relieved of torment
Because when the city sleeps, I see a canvas, A canvas of harmony,
We are no longer separated instead conglomerated and congealed so tight we as humans realize we are all alike

Harp
When you realize your heart has been played like a harp how do you perform in loves next orchestra?
When melodies that once gave you goosebumps now give you heartache
When you abide by your hearts request
To take a chance on a person it feels deeply for
The heart does not understand
The complications of human emotions
Or lack thereof
That's for the mind to decipher
