Vacant Eyes
Feet swayed in the air
Above a tipped chair
That was kicked over without care
By the same feet that once stood there
That once supported a distant stare
Of despair and disrepair
The others unaware
Their vision impaired
By a smile that was really just scared
Because it bared
A sick sadness
No one knew he had this
Slit on his wrist
This slit on his psyche
They didn't know he might be
Making a major decision
To make a division between his
Mind and his matter
So he tied tight
Before his sight could scatter his thoughts
Thinking weather or not
To stop living or just stop
But the situation he sought
The plot he thought
...he forgot
But he was sold on the idea
That death could be bought
With a rope and a chair
And now he swings there
With a cold, distant stare
Seeking Truth
A lesson forgotten from 1967, The Summer Of Love...
I seek a truth
So hard to find
Blind
Walking paths
All lost to time
As bodies burn
In fire of ire
And madness takes
Our breaths in turn
Street colors clash
One black
One blue
Locked in response
Of what to do
We
Trapped in Worlds
Proscribed by hue
Hate yields to love
Know this is true...
There's power in a flower
If we let peace bloom

Indifferent
I'm an apathetic empathetic
Pathological liar
on fire
And I'm cold
So I scoff as I take the jacket off
I have found myself true
when I am deceitfully lost
But there's a cost to pay
When you let the fibers frost and fray
A dance
an interplay
between now and yesterday
I'm stuffed but I'm starving
Carving cuts on weak wrist
Covering cuts It's a cheap trick
Confusing a sane man with a lunatic
But I call them pricks to a diabetic
Come up with a conviction
For the condition
I don't require permission
The flame is not to blame
For the ignition
