Introduction
When she was 15 years old, she moved house. Travelling across the country until she was placed in a new town, a new house, with new friends, all for her dad’s new job.
She’d taken the news quite calmly. She didn’t scream and shout. But at night, when the moon came up, and nobody was there to witness it, she cried.
She didn’t want to leave everything and everyone she loved. But she took it all on the chin, a smile on her face. Because that’s the kind of girl she was. She was a happy girl that would light up the room she walked into. She was the light.
She made friends really quickly. And surprisingly, her boyfriend travelled the exact same distance, got a job as a waiter for low wages and kept their relationship going.
She was so lucky. She had a family that adored her, she was good for money. Not brilliant, but good. And she had the most amazing boyfriend in the entire world. He would literally do anything for her...
Until she met Niall.
He was nice to her. He made her feel special, and introduced her to a new exciting but dangerous life. Unfortunately the darkness pulled her in.
Ever wanted anything so much that you can’t breathe properly?
She has. She wanted it more than anything, and when she got it, she only wanted more. She’d do anything for it.
If she was a different kind of person she’d have blamed Niall for the way things went, but it was her that made those choices. She knew it each step of the way.
Ultimately, she made the wrong ones.
And they cost her her life.

She rolled over and pushed her nose into the orchid scented bed linen, inhaling with a smile on her face. It was Sunday. That means bacon for breakfast. A good breakfast is a great start to a good day. She jumped from the bed and ran to the bathroom, a hand running through her tangled blonde locks. She used the toilet and washed her hands quickly. Her reflection stared back at her as she brushed her teeth.
Beautiful blonde hair has escaped from the bun that hung at her shoulder. Her wide eyes were still bright, despite only just waking and the small birthmark on her chest resembling a half moon lingered pink as it did every morning. Toothpaste dripped down over her pink plump lips and she tried to suck it back up with a half grin. Staring back from the mirror was a 17 year old beauty. Hayley McIntyre. She listened to the sound of her brothers fighting and laughing downstairs, she heard her mother telling her father off about not emptying his coffee mug. She spat the toothpaste out. This is the life. She thought to herself. She was happy. She was loved.
It was difficult for her with the move. Having to leave everybody and everything behind, but over the last few months things had fallen into place. She had gained new friends while keeping in contact with the old ones and her boyfriend had been on the phone to her or talking online every single night. She was missing nothing.
Hayley skipped down the stairs to the sound of her family. It was beautiful music to her ears. She was the type of person that dreamt about bringing up her own family in the same way. Little Joseph would be such a cute little toddler always pulling on his mommas skirt and asking for cuddles, while her husband Adam would watch with a smile on his face. Chuckling about how momma needs to give daddy cuddles too.
The daydream was swept away as she stared at the real family before her. Her father, David was sat with his newspaper covering his face as any image of a typical dad would. Her mother moved plates around and placed more bacon on the large plate in the centre of the table and it was quickly snatched up by the oldest boy of the family. Eric was twelve and he was always hungry. Filling his tummy with the tastiest of foods to feed his starving hormones. One day, there wouldn't be enough bacon for them all and they'd have to fight it out.
Matthew wasnt too bothered about the bacon as he screamed again at Eric for being ignorant. The seven year old wanted attention from his older brother, and he just wasnt getting it.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty." Her dad smiled from across the table as she finally took her seat. "Morning dad." The reply was quickly followed with each person greeting one another again. Her mother again, filling the centre plate with more bacon. Hayley helped herself to a portion of five rashers and a large glass of orange juice.
Her mum, Claudia, looked up at her with a large grin as she sipped on her coffee. "We have a little surprise for you today. Once you've finished breakfast and we've dropped the boys off with Aunt Linda, you'll have a huge smile on that pretty face of yours. "
"What is it?" Hayleys smile was premature and contagious, but as always it lit up the room around her and everybody followed suit.
"Well, if I told you that, it wouldnt be a surprise would it missy?" Her mum giggled and allowed her daughters imagination to work overtime as she chowed down on the salty meat before her.
It was two hours later when the car pulled up to a large block of flats. Curiosity was etched in Hayleys mind as she slowly climbed the stairs behind her parents. The flats carried a strange smell of cannabis, sweat and regret. She was nervous and unsure as her father knocked on the basic wooden door sporting the rusty brass number 76.
They didn't have to wait long until he answered.
There her love stood. A cheeky smile on his face and adoration in his eyes. The jankling keys were held high, level with his head.
"Welcome to your second home, Angel."

Hayleys parents had left the lovebirds to it. Allowing then some much needed time to catch up. She had squealed with delight when she saw him. Her Adam. Everybody had worked together to keep it a secret and it was more than worth it to see the happy tears fill her beautiful blue eyes.
Within ten minutes she had found out about his new job waiting at the local restaurant and bar, how his family felt on the decision and now they both lay curled up against one another talking about the future.
The future had never seemed so bright for Hayley and she felt the fuzzy feeling of love envelope her. She knew she was lucky and never in her life did she think this kind of happiness would be hers.
She made her mind up then. It was time. She was ready. She leant up and kissed his lips gently. He smiled against her mouth before returning the sweet gesture. They kissed slowly and gently, but as she crawled up onto his lap the passion grew and the gentle caresses soon became a frenzied mess of groping and kissing one another.
Adam pulled back to catch his breath and held Hayley at arms length. "Not like this."
A sorrow filled her face and she quickly tried to cover it up. She wasnt fast enough. He picked up on the show of emotion and was quick to reassure her. "No, no. Of course I want you. In all the ways I can have you. But it should be special. For your first. Not like this. Rushed on the sofa. I'm going to make it special. I'm going to make it right... right for you."
The overwhelming emotion filled her again and she smiled at him as she circled her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a final kiss. Her words not enough. Her words not available. She loved him with her everything. And she knew he loved her back just as much.
The rest of the day had passed without incident. Adam had been invited to dinner and he joined the family for the Sunday chicken roast and all the trimmings. Everything was washed down with wine for the adults and cream soda for the children. It was an enjoyable evening and the next day was an easy one too.
________
Hayleys closest friends at her new school were a group of three girls and a guy named Ricardo. Ricardo was gayer than a glittery rainbow and he was so very proud of the fact. He was weak and floundering, overly emotional and dramatic. He was a queen, in all senses of the word.
Then there was Tamara, Angelica and Bec. Tamara had a huge obsession with anything anime. This included the way she dressed, how she spoke and what she read and watched. She was friendly, gentle and loved all things frilly.
Angelica was a sweetheart. She got all A's, took after school clubs and always tried to read people. Her pyschology studying was a part of her every day life and whenever somebody kicked off or caused a scene in the school, she discussed the matter with her friends as though the person in question was a subject. Somebody to read and study. It was often interested to listen to her. She was often right.
Bec was the roughest of the group. She swore constantly, often had detention and had an unusual interest in dark, forbidding sexual exploration. She knew the things that she wanted were wrong. She also knew that's why she wanted them. According to Angelica, Bec had daddy issues. She'd developed the need to have a father figure around after her dad had left them in the lurch on her ninth birthday. That need soon mixed with hormones and sexual frustration, and in turn this caused the well known daddy issue. Hayley herself, just thought Bec was a kinky type of person. It wasnt only sex that she felt this need to get extreme with. She had the need to push everything. She was a rebel.
Hayley sat with her small group of friends in the cafeteria and they giggled away about her boyfriend moving into the area and how she was finally about to lose her virginity. She was the only one left with her V intact still. Even Angelica had lost hers to a boy in holiday camp a few months ago. A lot of the time, teenagers would find the situation embarrassing. To still openly be a virgin, amongst sexually active peers. She didn't find herself feeling embarrassed or awkward. She was proud. Proud of her ability to keep herself for her man. Her love.
Amd tonight was the night. She didnt know what to expect. Nor did she know what time it would take place. But her heart sped up as she imaged different scenarios about how it could go.
Eddie and Jacob were both trying to get her to party with them as she walked home. It was always the case. They always tried to convince her. She always refused. It was nice of them to be so persistent. It made her feel pretty. Almost like she was being chased. The boys had left school the previous year and were currently studying at the adjoined college.
They actually made the party sound tempting this time, but she had bigger plans. More important plans. Something that would stay with her forever would happen that night. She wasnt willing to change her plans for a party. Not that night.
Three
Hayley took the steps one at a time. Each step taking her closer to the loss of her virginity. She was about to become two with the one person she'd ever want to share that type of intimacy with. Her heart beat a reggae rhythm against her chest and her palms sweated, causing her to constantly brush them against the pink floral cotton of her sundress.
She wasnt used to this kind of anxious excitement filling her veins and it made her feel unsure. Unsteady. She finally reached his floor and stared at the number on his door. It looked like it could do with tightening and she took the time to imagine using her dads tools to tighten the screws holding the brass seven to the wood before she allowed her fist to tap against the door.
He answered quickly and she knew without a doubt that he was nervous too. She could see it in his always confident eyes. Amongst the love, respect and pure unadulterated passion, was fear. She knew right then that she needed to help him ease his worries. She stepped forward without thinking of her own nervousness and with a gentle hand to his cheek, she pressed her lips to his. They kissed. Right there at the door to his new home, they shared the beginning of their new passion. It remained calm. Gentle. And slowly, with a hand on the small of her back, Adam guided her against himself and pulled her into the comfort of his home.
He continued to move his mouth against hers as he bolted the lock behind her back, then he removed his mouth and turned her to show her his work. Rose petals littered the floor and small raspberry scented tea lights scattered the ground and surfaces. It was beautiful. She felt the love through each petal. Each flame signified their power to one another. She couldn't believe how far he'd gone to make her feel its special. Even when anything with him was special to her anyway.
The sweet scent, wafted to her nose and she scrunched her nose up to stop any tears. She was almost in shock, but the soft beat of unknown jazz music that lingered in the background maintained her remaining calm. She turned in his arms. Both held the sweet smile of newly found love. Both were ready.
She watched as Adam removed his arms from around her frame and tugged the shirt up his body. His chest bare, Hayleys fingers itched to touch and stroke but she knew now wasn't the time as he quickly moved on to the buckle of his Jeans. His fingers shook so she stepped forward and helped him. Together they removed the belt and pulled it free of the loops. The denim slid smoothly down his legs and he stepped free easily.
He stood there in his superman boxers and quickly made the superman pose in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere. It worked. Hayley giggled at him through the fog of lust and stepped back again before she reached for the straps of her own dress. Her undressing was much simpler and she slid the dress down her body and then slipped from her sandals. They looked at each other. Just looked. Gone were the giggles and jokes. Things were getting serious.
They stepped together once again and their bodies melded in a heated dance. They pushed and pulled against one another in just the right ways until both were naked bodies beginning to join. He lifted her up and she easily wrapped her legs about his waist. There was no need for words as he carried her through to the small bedroom. Their eyes on one another and their bodies pressed against each other intimately. Their hearts beat against the other. Forcing a dance between organs. A song.
He lay her down and caressed her body. Being sure not to allow his greed to rush him. He took his time. And she showed her appreciated with little kitten whimpers and grasps of his flesh in her small hands. By the time he crawled down her body and pressed his tongue to her heat, she was more than ready. Her moans coming fast and eager.
"Please. Please Adam." It was the first words spoken since meeting at the door and they were such special ones. Her plea forced his own hunger to take residence and he pulled himself back up to line himself with her. She watched him as he slowly pushed himself inside of her. She watched his face as they finally became one. Her eyes filled as she thanked the heavens for giving her somebody so special.
The pain was there, but it was quick. It soon passed and Adam was careful to remain slow and considerate to her needs. He thrust inside of her slowly and she mewled her enjoyment. Soon, both parties became louder and she begged for him to speed up. Only slightly did he grant her her wish, pushing in and out of her faster but no harder. He made love to Hayley with all the feeling he could muster. He didn't want to fuck her or screw her, and that showed through every touch. Every look. Every word.
He began to find it difficult to hold back and his throat muscles strained as he tried hard to hold on to his restraint. Thankfully, his angel had reached an orgasm before he exploded. Hers quiet and angelic. Soft music in the sunshine. Then he came, loud and boisterous. More of a beat against the heavy rain.
Two became one that day. Their dance, a beautiful one. A special one. Something that will forever be cherished between them.
They expressed their love for one another as they lay in the bed, sweaty bodies tangled in white sheets. The scent of sweet raspberry mingled with their scent of love. The rose petals only a memory amongst the other scents.
Love was made that day. Hayley and Adam. Together. Forever. They promised.
