A few of us meet up to loiter in an open field.
I place a dainty flower behind a friend’s ear.
“Don’t you just look darling”
The sun begets golden speckles in my eyes and freckles across the bridge of her nose.
And we harness some spunk and light.
Drip drop plip plop
purple pink petals
pirouette amongst leaves
dappled in sunlight's exquisite embrace
I can just barely see the sun rising on the horizon
I can't wait to be embraced by its warmth
I want to remain in this happiness forever
The sun is the sign I needed to know that all of the bad things that happened yesterday will be forgotten
