The Black Cloaked Thing
It was Halloween night and the children's laughs were echoing from the streets. I, who was yet to go out and trick-or-treat, was watching from my bedroom window. The stars were sprinkled across the sky and the dark sky was like the frosting.
"Honey! Get changed!!! We are going to go t&t-ing!!!" called my mom from the 1st floor.
T&t-ing is what we call trick-or-treating. The angel costume was laying across my bed and the gold heels were at the bottom of my bed. I sighed and walked over to my costume. To be honest I never liked Halloween because one night I saw someone LITERALLY disappear on the spot, yet no one believed me.
I walked down the stairs in my angel costume that was VERY itchy. My younger brother Max had a batman costume on and my mom had a witch hat. My dad just had some ripped up clothes.
I was officially 10 minutes in from t&t-ing and nothing weird so far. I was about to knock on the door when a black cloak went darting past me in speed like no other. I decided not to knock on the door and a weird spine-chilling noise was left from its path. I followed it without thinking. Now it was walking, but it didn't have the cloak on it. It was BRIGHT BLUE! It stopped in front of an eerie, dusty mansion. It hissed some words at the very old gate and it opened. The shadowed veil lifted and more ghosts things were there. I gasped when I saw this bright purple ghost who looked like my passed sister Layla.
Something breathed on me and grabbed me with cold hands. I screamed and then dozed off..
