We Are Here
Lives pulsing
moving
gyrating frantically
to the beat
the rhythm of a
heart knitted
stitched together by
time
by the ages
by need of man to
defend against massive
drooling beasts
in untamed forests
by philosophers with
white beards and sharp
eyes whose thoughts
spun law from chaos
by steadfast architects
with hardy hands
and concrete callouses
who purified
molded earth like tiny
mortal gods
sentient termites
ensuring with labor
the growth
the continuity
of our Hill
Workers
Soldiers
Queens and Kings
appointed by the
milling masses
or festooned by
bloody battle
we are
individualized yet
categorized
magnified and
classified
a culmination of
millennia in millions
of lives unraveling
and expanding
beside one another
building and evolving
coalescing light so
bright
from space
we form our own
boldly burning
stars.
Seeing the City.
The hustling and bustling of the people who are living. Those who are awake in this dementia and those that are asleep. Seeing everything they're doing is to slow down and really absorb the world around you. The city becomes a giant play ground when you have humans laughing, zooming, and walking around. The daze you get from taking in all of the commodity reveals life in itself. You never knew this kind of satisfaction because your eyes were never truly opened. The city is the best place to be when you're seeing things in a newer state because everything is so alive. Everything is so vibrant, the thrill is a dream.
Look, look at the babies crying, the mother just teasing it. The balloon that a little just let go.. floating softly into the sky. The beautiful clown frowning and blowing up another on. See, see the lovers hold hands and smile. Smell the popcorn, feel the breeze in your hair. Let go and absorb the city, the big buildings that makes you wonder if they'll ever fall. The giant statutes where you imagine them talking again. The movement of the pavement and the laziness of the clouds all have you feeling a serene feeling of human life like you've never felt it before. It changes everything.
