Primal reflections chiseled

beyond comprehension,

adorned with carvings

of what I used to be.

In the end of time

when all is said and done,

my past was unwound

by stiff fingers in threads

grown cold.

Black hole greedily

swallowed me

at the speed of light.

Can no longer touch sky -

mind flows away in

ancient simplicity.

Story of my life swirls

in nightmares of

haunting beauty,

tucked safely

in granite womb,

burrowed into

rich dark earth.

In the end of time, when all is said and done,

We will live on, alone.

The memories,

The thoughts,

The wishes,

The loss.
