No Feast for the Wicked
Beneath the sheet, above the stone
Around the Christmas tree
The chains and links, the clanky clinks
The wailing jubilee
A spirit in a mug appears
And sloshes whiskey round
The presents hover through the jeers
And lift up off the ground
Unlikely as it all may seem
A table soon arrives
As if a sugar plum-like dream
A feast of forks and knives
A demon and a goddess join
To spread good faith and hate
Embracing all the souls set free
Or ones the demon ate
Forever, all eternally
Eclipse the season's treat
The holidays are ghastly frays
For no ghost gets to eat

A Holiday Haunt
You've decked your home with boughs of holly
To ward off spirits of evil and folly.
But I am no spirit of ill intent.
And I would willingly join in your merriment.
Though our definitions of delight may vary by degrees
As I haunt by the side of your Christmas tree.
We can blame December for the cold I instill.
So pay no mind to my ectoplasmic chill.
And that mangled mirage of decay across the floor
Is simply my added holiday decor.
Yet, you stare aghast at my generous display.
Perhaps this is not my recognizable holiday...
I haunt as I ponder and riddle myself this,
Do I truly want to reenact The Nightmare Before Christmas..?
Loving hearts sets them free
Those who are still trapped on this plain, yet are not within the physical realm are at a higher form of thinking than most of us are.
Yes some are not as evolved but for the most part they are. They do not think in terms of time and seasons as we do, I get the feeling they just aren't aware.
However, they are very aware of strong emotions
So when we gather for holidays like thanksgiving and Christmas, those entities are drawn to the strong feelings of love we share.
So that being said anytime you gather for the holidays with love for each other, you may be giving a greater gift than you realized just by letting the love in your hearts shine bright.
It shows them the way home.
Your love sets them free!
Something to ponder.
