Friend To The End

One day me and my best friend

was sitting at a desk.

She asked me something that put

my mind to the test.

She asked me to teach her how

to have a female love affair.

I looked at her, I swallowed a lump in my throat,

turned around and stared.

I told her I couldn't be the one she had

to learn from in the end.

I told her I couldn't afford to lose a

lifelong friend.

You see, Sometimes you love and lose,

and that can be forever.

Sometimes you love and win,

and always want to be together.

But I love her as my best friend,

and that worth the world in gold.

I don't want to see her in another way,

that removes that from my soul.

No matter how awkward the conversation was.

It showed her friendship over relationship

was a different kind of love.
