Irrelevance
It feels like a numbness, yet only slides somehow deeper.
It screams in your head like anxiety but it somehow screams louder.
It cuts you down from wherever you set, dragging you lower and lower until there is nothing lower left.
That’s what irrelevance feels like, just knowing you don’t matter, knowing everyone is just as numb as you.
That’s the worst feeling in the world, that’s the one that really hurts.
That’s the one that beats you while you are already down.
Irrelevance, now that’s the worst feeling in the world.
Dylan Writes
There is only one reason Dylan writes,
And it is because he enjoys it so.
It might mean he just cannot sleep some nights,
But he just can’t stop when words start to flow.
When others might prefer to play a game,
He would rather just sit and read his book.
It is easy to find someone to blame,
A childhood of reading is all it took.
He likes to write stories and poetry,
They might not be great, but he is learning.
I hope you all like it as much as he,
If you do, you could try returning.
I hope you like the work of this strange man,
He’ll keep writing for as long as he can.
