Two Lives Were Saved
She had everything a husband, children and a home. Still she felt as though her life was hopeless, pointless, wasted on her. She often felt as though everyone she loved would be better off without her. She had a hard time with her moods and didn't understand why. Going from angry one second to crying the next and never feeling okay. Always trying to hold it all in and pretend she was okay.
Until one day she began to give up she got lost in a virtual world started neglecting everything. All she had was her husband and her kids no friends of her own. So slowly disappearing was all too easy. She ate less and slept more not wanting to wake up to another day. Finally, one night when the kids were asleep and her husband was out she lost it she lost almost all her will to live. Nothing was worth all this pain she was in.
She put a glass, a bottle of pills, and a jug of bleach on the counter and stared at it with tears in her eyes. Surely everyone would be better off if they didn't have to deal with her anymore. She stepped outside for a final breath of fresh air. Fear and shame crept up. So she called up someone who she thought was a good family friend and told him what she had planned to do. In hopes, he could convince her she was wrong. Instead, he just confirmed her thoughts and told her to do it.
She hung up and wept thinking she was right. She decided that she would call one last person. If they couldn't talk her down she would end it all. She called her mother and told her everything and the next morning she was on a bus to her moms.
Just to find out she was pregnant. So two lives were saved that night, not just one. How lucky she was to have the strength to tell her mother she wanted to die. How lucky she is to have a mother she can always turn to...
