snow cone happiness
Such lovely coolness on a hot day is this
With a rainbow of flavors melting into the glacial scoop
Pleasing to the eye; pleasing to the tongue
The happiest of food/not food is the snow cone
I dare you to recall an unhappy moment involving one
There is no trauma related
No tears were ever shed into a ball of crushed ice
Just fleeting childhood memories, captured again
of bare-footed freedom, and care-free warmth
and an icy treat in a paper cone all sticky sweet
