oh, josephine
"c-c-crimson-stained lips"
he writhes in his bed
"razor-sharp fangs, l-l-like a beast's"
he claws at his neck
"sank into my f-f-flesh"
he shouts her name
he calls for her
"oh, josephine!"
like a prayer on his tongue
"y-you h-have sucked me dry!
and yet you let me live!"
he shouts himself hoarse
alerting the nurses
"take the rest of me!
take my soul, you beautiful devil
take me with you!"
behind the brick garden wall
behind the brick garden wall
cold and artificial
tall and looming
a lavish greenery awaits us
countless flowers blooming
masking the scenery
with their sickly sweet scents
a small pond
decorated in lillypads
and an abundance of cattails
the fish say hello
the frogs watch silently
from their moss covered rocks
butterflies flitter about
dancing with each other
the lazy cat
lounging on the garden wall
mewls loudly
as if inviting us
to come and play
it’s just behind the brick garden wall
Didn’t Know
I didn't know,
the reality of things
until he didn't come back.
I
didn't
know that
time is so much
more precious, than
I'd expected
it to be.
I
didn't
know that
I & many others,
have taken life for granted,
as many do for many things,
so
I
apologize
for
not
knowing,
and
I
wish
that
I
had
known
then.
