UNO
The most well known card game to end all friendships is Uno. Players go head to head competing to see who can screw over their friends the most. Anything from skip cards to plus 4 can be a deathly stab in the back. Yet it is a game that we all love and enjoy playing. I guess we simply like to get wrapped up in the intensity of it all.
ew
Siblings are the worst. Of course this isn't actual hate, but more of a love-hate relationship between siblings. I personally consider my brother to be the worst of all. He knows exactlty how to push all of my buttons. He is a lazy, selfish, unmotivated know-it-all. I hate the fact that he gets away with his half-ass work by being the youngest in the family. He has no respect for anyone but himself. He walks around thinking he's the best and that he's always right. If anyone in the world knows how to get on my nerves, it's my brother.
sleep
I belive that sleeping is underrated. Growing up as a child, the worst thing you can imagine (besides vegetables and quicksand) would be nap time. I used to dread having nap time because I only wanted to play around all day. Nowadays, I would give anything to get a few hours of sleep. On an average school night, I'd probably get about 4 hours of sleep or 6 if I'm lucky. For example, right now it is currently 2:30 am and I am writing this for extra credit as a part of my AP Literature class. My favorite part about sleeping is that all of my worries and stresses fade away as I am left in my own little dream world. I wish I can have that peace of mind all the time, but reality says otherwise.
pockets
One of my biggest frustrations in life is that women's clothing do not have pockets. I personally love pockets and will go out shopping specfically looking for clothes that has pockets. I just want a space where I can keep my belongings without lugging around a purse or a backpack. I find it infuriating that men's pockets are able to hold entire water bottles wheras most women's pockets are actually fake. What is the point of fake pockets??? Or even those extremely tiny pockets where you can literally fit a penny. I find it to be one giant elaborate scam to make women spend more money on handbags.
music
I used to be the type of person who didn't have an actual set of music that I was a big fan of. I used to just listen to anything that popped up on the local radio station. It wasn't until recently where I took a closer look at the meanings of songs. I no longer listen to music just for the heck of it, but now to relate to the actual lyrics. Personally, listening carefully to each lyric helps me reflect on my life. I find music that has real meaning to me and songs I can relate to.
Highschool
I couldn't wait to graduate from the 8th grade and leave middle school. As much as I loved my old school, all I wanted in highschool was a fresh start, to make new friends and to make a name for myself. I have grown so much as an individual since my freshman year with all the new experiences I faced throughout the 4 years. I am thankful for all the long lasting friendships I've made and for all the wonderful people I met. I stepped out of my comfort zone by joining clubs, the theater program, and softball. By staying active within my school community, I feel like highschool changed my life for the better.
