The mud you track into your house
Is the same mud of mostly clay
From which beautiful pottery emerges
The tree that drops millions of leaves for you to rake
Is the same tree that provides summer shade
And the sturdy planks to construct your house
The cow and pig manure of disdainful of odor
Grows the tastiest vegetables
And the nicest roses
Mosquitos that ruin your day, numbering in the millions
Are the feed stock of every spring bird
And every melodic song you covet
Everything has a purpose, even if not yet discovered
Even if ugly on the surface and disparaging to the core
So what is yours and when will we notice its worth?
When Death Dies
You are
a greedy bastard
Today, your grasping hands
pillaged
a most beautiful treasure
of a human
I hate that you mock
this impending season
of renewal and life
with your unwanted presence
I will rejoice the day
that smug look
is ripped
from your ancient face
One day
I will dance
at the news
of YOUR demise
You may have your way
(for now)
with our frail, earthly shells
but in the very end
we win
Rest in peace, C.T.
I will see your radiant smile again, sweet friend. I love you.

Schopenhauer’s blur to the unknown, the ember, and a beguiling eye.
On the show today, we open with a famed and tortured mind, from a certain point of view, and into the depths of two writers here that have written pieces to reach down into our cores and feel the colors of their minds. To quote the character of Doc Holliday in the best western made, from 1993, "That's just my game."
Here's the link to the Prose. Radio feature, and we'll post the writers and pieces in the comments below.

A splash of Shakespeare, extra dirty, and two winter chasers.
Winter's breath brings two beautiful pieces of writing to the show, to chase down a strong and shaken starter from the man himself, and his Sonnet 12.

The Vasquez Rocks
I took the road less traveled
Despite the warning so near
I channeled my inner imp
I funneled away my fear
These rocks, those rocks
Cinematically I hold so dear
Nomenclatured as “Vasquez”
Simply all I revere
I first saw them in Star Trek
The episode was the “Arena”
Kirk battling the Gorn
With eyes of green patina
The Vasquez Rocks appeared again
In the original “Planet of the Apes”
I, like Taylor, would find my destiny
Only if we traipse
Add “Dante’s Peak”, and “Galaxy Quest”
Then “Amazon Women on the Moon”
Include “Blazing Saddles”
And (possibly) even “Dune”
So why will I ignore the sign?
Why will I proceed blissfully apathetic?
Because I should be a movie star
With my personality so magnetic
