Black Lives Matter. Period.
Dear people who find Black Lives Matter offensive, and cannot think of a better response than All Lives Matter.
Why does an expression that was created to affirm justice and empathy for people who have been discriminated against and or marginalized for centuries threaten your existence? When you disagree with the premise of Black Lives Matter, I wonder if your family tree includes people who were captured, kidnapped, enslaved, beaten, raped and even murdered with no protection under the law?
Oh, that all happened such a long time ago, you say. Get over it. Opportunity and equality exists in our country for every citizen. Does it? Oh right. Statistics. Facts. They don't matter. I'm not saying as a country we have not made great progress with racial equity, but if you ask me, we still have a bit more work to do. Hence why the words Black Lives Matter mean something to me. Period.
P.S. If you care to counter argue with me, I will not respond. I don't see the need to debate this topic. As I said. Black Lives Matter. Period. Got it?
Fighting for Justice
My heart was beating, “Run! Run! Run!”
As I saw them aiming at me with a gun
The sound of gunshots made me freeze,
Yet I ran into the forest, hiding among the trees.
Suddenly a bullet pierced through my skin,
And I turned back to see an armed man grin
My mind was in chaos, my mind was in a rush,
That I fell like a coward, beside a bush.
I was bloating and bleeding, seized with terror,
As I heard them yell, “Find her! Find her!”
I held my breath tight, and heard one say, “I guess she died.”
No, I was alive; well, I had survived.
We never broke into a house, we never stole a dime,
We did no harm, we did no crime
Our hard work made you good buck,
And to be shot, is our bad luck.
Do something to change our fate,
Or we shall all soon vanish at this rate.
It’s time to change this prejudice,
For this isn’t for you or me, but for justice.
A protest to a protest
Some advocates for All lives matter that i have talk too have only presented me with arguments of why they believe black people are more inharently violent. They use outdated statistics and bring up black on black crime to try to keep me silent.
They yell “go home” and call the protesters criminal thugs but refuse to acknowledge the massive amounts of videos of protesters protecting stores from looters. They call us violent but don’t acknowledge the police aggitators or the white surpremisits groups that show up as persecutors.
Compare these protests to the protests in May when people stormed capital buildings carrying guns and got in the police officers faces to scream their point, they were called “good people” and nothing extreme happened because they didn’t have aggitators and the police did not escalate the situation. But when we hold signs and lay on the ground for 8 minutes, or stand with our hands up we get pushed down when we want our voices heard we are called “terrorists” all because we refuse to stand in line and repeat the process of assimilation.
Please realize, that your individual experience with someone does not excuse the majoritys experience with them.
(This is a repost from a similar challenge i did a few month ago, still hope its as informativve and enjoyable from when i first posted it.)
They Matter. Why is That Hard?
The Moon is round.
So is the Sun. So are the other planets?? And the other moons and stars???
And? The Moon is round.
Water is wet.
When you put water on top of water, you just get more water. It's not wet, you just have more water.
Water is Wet.
Even in a drop of water, the molecules are piled on top of each other right? So they're on top of each other and next to each other, so there is water on top of water, so water is wet.
Water is wet. Water was wet before Water had to be reduced to molecules to be understood. Water is wet.
Black Lives Matter.
Well-
Black Lives Matter.

While it's a hot topic this year, this is a long-standing problem with overwhelming evidence and it's much more complex than I will ever be able to understand. If you disagree that black lives matter, keep it to yourself. Debate the wall.
It’s on Us:
It’s on Us:
Is this the world I live in?
So very bruised, it’s heart beating but black and blue.
I might never understand your pain,
But I will stand here with you.
I’m a powerful person,
bold, and ready to make a change.
Just like the strong poeple out there,
Because in our country, this is what I find strange.
You say we’re all created equally,
All crafted the same under god.
So tell me why some of us seem to matter
Some even and others just odd.
I don’t know about you,
But I hope that we’re different
I hope we stand peacefully together
To create change that's significant.
Because one way or another,
my children will not grow up in this tattered society,
For we will build a place, worth its people,
And celebrate in the variety.
I promise if you look for hate,
It’ll be there, right in your face,
But if you choose to look for love,
It’ll light your darkest days.
There’s no two sides about it
And this issue, there's nothing to discuss,
And until people understand that,
This fight, it's on us.
Black Lives Matter.
As a teen, I made friends with some inner city boys. I met them at church. They attended a camp that was supported by my church. Most of them had gotten in trouble with the law, and the camp was their only option aside from juvenile detention.
I loved these friends. They were fun, crazy, and had wonderful personalities. Most people might’ve noticed, but I didn’t. The majority were black.
Black Lives Matter.
As I got to know them more, they would talk of their mother, and how she was happy to have them in a good environment now. Most of them didn’t know their dad.
They would get into fights sometimes, over trivial things. If they talked in church, and they were asked to stop, sometimes things would get violent. To this day I don’t understand why. They were just asked to stay quiet till it was over.
Black Lives Matter.
Time has gone by and I look on their lives. I find one in a good Bible college, with a beautiful fiancee. I find another working hard at his job to support his son. But unfortunately, that’s where the good endings stop. Most were in prison, or doing drugs, or their family life was far from normal.
Black Lives Matter.
This statement is true. Most people would blame the system for their downfall. After getting to know them and discovering their past, I see one common denominator: No father taught them how to be men.
“It’s their culture” People tell me. “We can’t discriminate another’s culture.”
To that I disagree. It’s why we don’t have cannibals, or child sacrifices to sun gods. It was their culture too. But it harmed and didn’t improve society.
Black Lives Matter.
We need more fathers to take up responsibility. Most problems in society statistically derive from the absence of a father in the home. Black families will thrive w a whole family, not a broken one.
Black Lives Matter. Black Families Matter. Black Children Matter. Let’s train and be better.
