shorten your dress and
slip in some heels
straighten your hair
tighten your stomach
or maybe with a scalpel
we can cut all edged right
turn up the volume just as you
adore
if this is girls -
i don't wanna be
one anymore.
why do you fake smile all day long
and then cry in the most dramatic
moments
show off that you're emotional
how appropriate
applying tons of
makeup like a clown
prior performing
for an audience
i don't buy it
it's your choice it's your choice
it’s your body and your choice
you can wear what you want you're a
queen
but why do you feel like
you need this to be seen
and do you need to be seen
'cause you're not heard in
first place?
how can one be happy as a girl
happier than her
trying to stay real
while no one really cares about

Girls Girls Girls
Women's happiness has been declining steadily since the 60's, while the happiness of men has remained pretty much constant during the same time span. So much so that women's happiness is actually lower than men's. You can psycho analyize the reasons to death but it's not that complicated.
Women were told by the feminist movement that they could do it all and that they didn't need a man. What women found out was something that men have known for ages, working for a living sucks. It's not all it's cracked up to be. So as women entered the work force in large numbers, they started abusing alcohol and prescription drugs just like men. That's the kind of equality we can all embrace or not.
So if you want to be happy as a girl, don't get stuck working for the rest of your life. Find some guy to do that kind of thing for you. It's not that you can't do it yourself, but it sucks, it really does.
The Girl Who Isn’t Really Happy-
‘Be happy’ they say, but can one be truly happy?
I don’t know, so I will write about the life of a bored girl who hopes she can be happy.
She likes to eat maraschino cherries right out of the jar. And even though only old people do it, she collects decorative spoons. She listens to punk rock to go to sleep, and really wants a pair of new shoes, but they’re too expensive. She’s a bit of a pervert, and she does calligraphy in her spare time. She plays violent video games, and loves zombie movies and slashers. She slashes herself too. The right thigh with a pocket knife. She likes the smell of lavender.
She puts on a different face though, for different people. Always smiling. And it burns her out and she cries in the school bathroom. Does she have to let down her guard to be truly happy? Who knows? She doesn’t want to show her true colors. Her world seems monochrome most of the time anyway. I’m sure she’ll figure it out though.
Maybe if she takes some deep breaths, and drinks a cup of her favorite tea. And it wouldn’t hurt to binge that new comedy anime. Baking some cookies (even though she’s a disaster in the kitchen) could help. Or she could lean on her friends. Yeah, that sounds like the best solution. It beats singing made up songs about cats in the shower. I hope she turns out alright.
Happy Hope
Books and magic,
Pink dresses and cupcakes,
A fairy wand with glitter,
As you grow it gets forgotten,
Riding your bike with neighborhood kids,
Having sleepovers and spa nights,
Watching movies until you fall asleep,
As you grow you move on,
Brothers cheering,
Mother politely clapping,
Father smiling at your degree,
As you grow you give up,
Fiance laughing,
Roar of cars on the city road outside,
Friends over and wine,
As you grow you remember good times,
Kids driving you crazy,
Mother and father visiting,
Husband and you watching a movie,
As you grow you wish you could start again,
Tears as you know your time is coming,
Tears as you know you can't ask your parents if they were proud,
Hope and smiles as you realize you have done all you can and you must accept,
As you move on you grow,
Watching your kids from above,
Meeting your parents again,
You become wise and know,
That it doesn't matter who else is proud,
If you are proud.
Uniqueness
“It’s a….”
One of the most awaited answers, the question of course is “What’s the sex of the baby?”
From the moment we are born, that answer decides a path that we will have to walk by. Decisions will be made for us. Our lives will revolve around that word boy or girl.
But the truth is that it doesn’t really matter. No matter what your sex is, you can have fun, or should I say that despite your sex you can be happy?
So don’t worry about it, go out and party, stay home and play with your pets. Drink some booze or enjoy a cup of coffee with some friends. Go to an adventure park or adventure into the woods. Go to the beach or go hiking. Do whatever makes you happy (as long as you don’t break the law).
Happiness is about ourselves, about our person, unique and like no other. It has nothing to do with sex.
There’s no sex restriction to be happy. Just live your life, because no chromosome has power over what you enjoy. And don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t do something because you are a girl.
