Moral Compass
Conscience is the word you are looking for. The Oxford dictionary defines it as "an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one's behavior." Why does this voice exist? I am not sure if it is instilled in us at birth, or if it needs to be taught to us at an early age. It seems it may have a relationship with empathy, which is to feel another's feelings as if they were our own, and it seems to be something that is lacking in the minds of cold blooded killers, or other perpetrators of cruelty who act with supposedly no remorse. I would be interested in learning the definitions of this word in other languages. I am curious to find if other cultures have any variations as to the origin or explanation of this word "conscience".
Morality is something that we learn from the time we can conceptualize good and bad until we are no longer of sound mind. We don't know if it is right or wrong until we, ourselves, decide it is - yet novels, lectures, religions, communities and relationships are formed from the values of where the line between good and bad stands. Humans are in constant turmoil, driven by emotions. Our inherent needs, brain chemistry, and cells are constantly subconcously telling us what we need, while our morality and values, work hard to steer the course of our actions and behaviors. I met my now husband not knowing that our values would so deeply align. Our compassion for others and for animals, our need to apologize when we have hurt someones feelings or overstepped a boundary, our desire to fix things that are broken so that others can benefit from them are a moral obligation that we have not only to allow us to forgive ourselves but to make the human experience more tolerable for others around us. It was this core human value that aligned that brought us together when we are so different otherwise. Adversely without morality, people move through live satiating their needs without regard for others. While it can be seen as self-serving or mean-spirited, we as humans often simply do the wrong thing because of a lapse in judgement, allowing our emotions to overtake our values, or simply being complacent in our morailty. Who we are as people, our values, our morality drives people's impression of us, the people and energy we attract, and the peace we have within ourselves. Morality exists on a spectrum that can only be defined by the individual, yet our belief systems, governments, religions, families and communities are formed off of lineages of people deciding what is good and bad.
Effective Awareness
The voice, my inner self elected for dismissing my immaturity wherever it might be, whether the moment demands of it to externally express itself via a notion, or be it internal inappropriate a motion spuring whatever broken wording offers as conjuring compilations that overtime accumulated from reactions out of anger held onto inside the mind. A imperitive collective when defining my image was not necessarily forseeable consignment to consider for design, yet because of this intuitive consciousness making sure I was aware of the dangers obvious at the time, i turned out to be relatively fine I'd say, thank goodness. What a blessing to have a deeper version of me adressing negative build-up, eradicating harmful systematic dangers perminantly while mentoring on why it best to be representing the body differently. Descerning made easy, accumilative honourable learning without yearning respectively. Concerning all things deserving reputation proceeds me, the voice that doubles up inside of me would have set things up perfectly for confidence to excell when those allocated destinations are reached in reality. The journey is a success story with the conscience intact, eagerly awaiting to respond back in kind, to find matters accordingly so tutoring on the matter when necessary could be used to mould, to build & to grow a better version of a man for the World to see. Silently residing inside until obeying the vocabulary making itself clear to me insists I favourably do so as to avoid endangering the vessel, my body it seems to know better then I, the person who occupys this flesh & monitors it daily, strangely. No estranging to be enabling the wrong, only for goodness sake does it provisionally ensure im able to live hassel free, a life complementary to what Christ requires I out of reverence to it see as worthy indefinitely. Greater is He that is in me then he who is of this World. Thankfully.
