I’m Different Now

I didn't let abuse keep me a victim.

when the Christians treated me as if I was Satan incarnate for making a mistake.

I found that God is not religion. He is a personal relationship.

Finally, liberation

I found redemption in rage

I lost yesterday's battle

Brat

I was a selfish child.

I could not fathom the hurt  around me.

Sometimes I'll go to a place to remember

and cringe so hard 

my eyelashes stick together.
