Cold
Estonians:
"As cold as the country," people say. Icy hearts and bitter silences are all that's expects. Not friendship or love.
Truthfully, I'm loyal to my core. I will smile at a stranger on the street and laugh with a friend. I will listen when they're upset. Offering a shoulder to cry on or just a friendly ear. Is that not warm?
Yes, I may not talk about my emotions much but is it correct to assume I'm wintery and cruel if I simply don't know how?
I talk to those I love, trust. Anyone I'm close to. Sometimes a bit too much. Yet some still believe I live in chilly silence. That I don't talk at all. They still call me an ice queen.
I don't melt in Summer; I tan. It just takes me a season to warm up. Is it really cold-hearted to talks a while to trust? Or is it smart? Isn't it just human nature?
How can they call me cold?
Indian geeks
'Are you a computer engineer?'. Even though quite a lot of people from India are linked to the scientific side of things there are other professions that we excel at. Not all of us are math and computer geeks. Most of us are just genuinely curious because of which we tend to dwell deeper into computers but I personally know people who can't even use one propproperly and don't want to.
I think we've been termed as the people who want to mug up stuff and be these intellectual little minions. So let me tell you this, we go far beyond computer and math, we are passionate about arts and half of us can't grasp one concept of math. We're just like every other country. Vastly misunderstood
Irony
Isn't it funny, the moment you are considered as a Muslim country you are automatically labeled at a terrorist? Suddenly all women are considered oppressed and every man with a beard is a walking terrorist? But things get far worse when your country is marred with an ugly scar of the 9/11. Pakistan, a pro-US country, in its developing stages (up till today) would actually do something like that? A country who tried to save the US from the U-2 incident, the country who accepted to be allies with the US rather the USSR when it got independence would actually do something like that?
Moving forward, the country who has always shown generosity is now the victim, regretting every good deed it did. Remember how Pakistan helped Afghanistan to fight against the USSR and then gave one million afghan refugees a place to dwell even though Pakistan itself was barely forty years old, but what was the outcome? Terrorism, war, illegal drug trafficking, ammunition trafficking. Who was there to blame.
Women are not oppressed in anyway, they are highly respected and needed for kindergarten teachers, nurses and also as doctors and engineers. Even I am a girl, but do my words look like my father hits me everyday? Nay! He loves me very much.
People often see the bad side of the country and it ruins the whole aspect. If the government is corrupt, is the whole world innocent as a baby? If rape, murder or robbery occurs, does it not happen in your country? But then why Pakistanis end up suffering from the tag of terrorists? Is it the new generations fault that they were accidentally born here? Or did they specifically tell God, "Please send us to the country witch is with the tag of terrorism?"
Think about it....
Disgrace
The (Dis)United States of America:
U.S. the land of opportunity,
Being destroyed by its own government.
Freedom erosion with impunity,
Ongoing rhetorical excrement.
Is this land of the free, home of the brave?
Agenda-promoting hyperbole.
Rights exist solely in elites’ enclave,
Rapidly eroding our liberty.
Our elected leaders full of deceit,
Immersed in their corrupt hypocrisy.
Uninformed citizens wash, rinse, repeat,
Blind to the meaning of democracy.
Too many sit and witness this treason,
Absent intelligent rhyme or reason.
