What am I eating?
Light or dark green sometimes yellow
Smooth sometimes rough
Bruised easily with creamy white succulent flesh
Leaving grainy sugary sand on your tongue
Sometimes dry
Sometimes juicy
Sticky and tricking down your chin

Fruity
It's an orange red color, although it comes in a white variety. I prefer them almost over ripe, when they are very soft, and will bruise at the lightest touch. They are very juicy then, and their liquids pour down my chin as I take a bite. It's sugary, sweet and natural. The pit has to be removed, and placed to the side. I often carve out the deep red heart that is left, I find it not to my taste. I do enjoy its skin, so soft and fuzzy.
