1,2,3,4, Looking Out my Back Door
Won my heart,
But you never collected.
Stole my dreams,
And cashed them in.
Too much loss,
My soul infected.
So much pain,
I never win.
Three days passed,
You still won’t hear me,
No more waiting,
Love is deaf.
Four damn years,
And still you haunt me.
Eat my dust,
You Mother-F.
The Story of One
This is the story of One.
And how he came
To be.
He ran from Three,
and headed to the skies.
For One was free,
at least,
he had to be.
One reached the clouds,
and floated
Five years.
He looked over the valleys,
and saw
what made him
Sick.
Seven marching a row,
Eight standing still,
Nine obeying orders,
and Zero,
at the root of it all.
One fell off,
with nothing less than grace,
and knocked down Zero.
One whispered to Nine
secrets he's seen.
Without a tune or beat,
One danced with Eight.
He chased Seven in sport
and created a game
that soon Six joined inand dominated.
Five formed a new alliance,With Four striding with pride.
Three surrendered.
They followed
One's shadow
hoping
To be
the next
One.
(I don't do much poetry...I thought I would give it a shot.)
At-10-uated Perspective
Tense and tender at the same time, I tentatively give you 10 out of 10 (or 16):
10^-15 meters is the smallest limit of our visibility, when we can see the movements of quarks, the subatomic particles that make up protons and neutrons
At 1 x 10^-13 meters, we can see protons and neutrons in a cell's nucleus
At 10^-10 meters, we can view the outer electrons of the nucleus. This is also called 1 angstrom, and it is used for the measurement of the wavelengths of light
10^-9 meters is the nanometer, the length where we can see the carbon-hydrogen bonds of the DNA helix
At 10^-7 meters, we can see the double helix structure of DNA
10^-6 meters is the micrometer, about the size of a cell's nucleus
10^-3 meters is the millimeter, about the width of a dime or the length of a gnat
10^-2 meters is the handy centimeter, the basic unit of measurement for small objects
10^0 meter is the meter, the basic unit of length for the metric system. It is also the distance a man can run in 10 seconds
10^3 meter is the kilometer, the basic unit for driving distances and the distance a racecar can drive in 10 seconds
10^5 meters is the distance an orbiting satellite covers in 10 seconds
At 10^7 meters away from the surface of the Earth, we can see the whole globe of the planet
At 10^11 meters away from the surface of the Earth, we can see the Sun and all of the inner solar system
At 10^13 meters away from the surface of the Earth, we can see whole the solar system, including the Kuiper Belt
10^16 meters equals 1 light-year, a basic unit of astronomical distance
At 10^21 meters (100,000 light-years) away from the surface of the Earth, we can see the whole Milky Way galaxy
Ten-cue for your a10tion.

Fibonacci Numbers
There was a man from Italy
Who played with numbers cleverly
And though his last name was Bonacci
He is known as Fibonacci
In his book he wrote some numbers
That will make you count with wonder
For these numbers are unique
Count them now and you will see:
1 and 1 and 2 and 3
5 and 8 and then 13
After that comes 21
And still the list goes on and on
But why is this the way they go?
What comes next? How do we know?
What’s the order of the list
Listen and I’ll tell you this:
First you start with number 1
Then you count another 1
Adding those what do you get?
A 2 of course, so what comes next?
Well if you add the 1 and 2,
They make the number 3 for you
Then add the previous 2 to 3
You get a 5 and now you see
To get the number that we miss
You add the last two on the list
So now we add 3 to the 5
If you get 8, then you are right!
And here I’ll leave the rest to you
If you get lost this is the clue:
To get the number that you miss
Just add the last two on the list
And on forever you can count
Reaching numbers never found
Closer bit by bit we go
Towards the golden ratio...
This just in...
One day, which seems not too long ago, I visited the bank and deposited three checks for my mother. Not five minutes waiting in the mobile teller line, which was six cars deep - I, of course, was number seven - police cars came racing into the parking lot with their lights on and sirens blaring. As I ate my Big Mac awaiting my turn, I passed the time counting all nine squad cars frantically communicating their ten-codes to each other.
"You! Inside! This is Captain Welevenworth. Come out with your hands up!"
Not twelve seconds later, the MS-13 gang member, like something out of a movie, came busting through the front door with his Glock 14 aimed directly at the fifteen officers surrounding the perimeter. Six teens stood watch across the street on 17th ave, waiting to celebrate their buddy's 18th birthday on this, the 19th of April. Who knew that their party would instead consist of twenty seconds of pure terror! As the birthday boy silenced his Google Music app, which was playing the latest 21 Pilots song, he switched to his camera and recorded all of the action.
In an instant, 22 rounds ripped through the twenty three year old assailant, leaving him dead on the sidewalk. What seemed like 24 gallons of blood spilled out of his dead body, slowly draining into the gutter on the corner of 25th Street.
Twenty six days later, Joshua, the birthday boy, had to testify for 27 minutes in front of a room full of jury members and spectators. He couldn't believe a mere 28 days ago he was getting ready to celebrate with his friends, when his life got turned upside down. Little did he know that channel 29 would love his look and offer him a 30 thousand dollar job as a special assistant to the thirty one year veteran of the local news channel.
Joshua would make it a career, eventually surpassing his mentor with his own 32 years and a record 33 million dollar salary!
Who knew a cheap $34 phone would have such life impact.
One morning, Two men walked Three blocks For some Five dollar coffees and sat down to chat.
The first man said to the second, "Check your Six."
The second turned, looked at the handsome man at the counter behind him, and replied, "Yeah, I guess he's a Seven."
The First man continued, "Dude, like he's an Eight at least."
The handsome man walked up to the second man, and kissed him.
"See you at Nine." he said, and walked off.
The Second man smiled. "He's a Ten, and he's mine."

For several days, the three in my family had been selecting
A location, gambling and dining, for our five-day vacation setting

Than, let's do some major culinary digesting!"

Meeting of Numbers
One fine day me and
Two friends were invited to an exclusive and mysterious meeting. The
Three of us arrived at
Four o’clock in front of the door marked with a number
Five.
Six times I nocked with no reply.
Seven seconds later the door swung open and my friends and I entered. "That makes Eight" declared the man at the door. "Find your seats the director is on his way." All
Nine chairs in the room were occupied once we and the man were seated. "So it’s a group of nine? “I asked the room at large.
"Ten actually." the director chimed in entering the room in a wheel chair. "I brought my own seat. “Now, shall we begin?"
