Met by everyone with palm leaves in their hands
Screaming, shouting, asking for Your attention
It seems just a glimpse of You would made them satisfied
The smile and excitement on your face reflects on theirs
You meant no harm
You ministered
With everyone who wants to be ministered
You knew it would end
You were betrayed by one of your closest friends
He sold you for 30 pieces of silver
Still you called him friend
You gathered them to have your last supper
Whatever You have You shared it to them
The bread that symbolizes your body to be broken
The wine that symbolizes your blood to be shed for us
You prayed to Your Father
Asked to get the cup from Your hands
But in the end submitted to Him
You let His will to be done
You were arrested
Battered
Crowned with thorns
Crucified for me and died for me
But it did not end there
You waged a war against the grave
And on the third day You rose again
and will never ever die again.
What Love is This?
You never change, you are the God you say you are
When I'm afraid you calm and still my beating heart.
You stay the same, when hope is just a distant thought,
You take my pain and you lead me to the cross
I look to you, I see the scars upon your hands.
And hold the truth, that when I can't you always can.
And standing here beneath the shadow of the cross.
I'm overwhelmed that I keep finding open arms.
Jesus in your suffering you were reaching, you thought of me
What love is this that you gave your life for me
And made a way for me to know you
And I confess, you're always enough for me
You're all I need
