A winter wonderland
Tiny white diamonds fall from the sky
Sparkling
Laying down
forming blankets
Which coat the land and trees in beauty
Hanging silently
Footsteps squeak and crunch beneath you
As you disturb its surface
Leaving a trail wherever you go
That is when you know
You can grab a handful
Make it into a ball
And throw it at your friends
Or
If you are nicer
Grab a sled
And sail down the hillsides
An endless supply of fun
The wind can be brutal though
cold
like standing in a freezer with an air conditioner on full blast as you taste below zero (Fahrenheit)
And when you come inside
Fingers and toes tingling and numb
Cheeks and nose kissed with blush
You will learn
Cold has a distinct smell
Which is sort of sweet
Kaya is my princess in shining armor and she will tear you to shreds with her words
she has slain
every dragon
and monster
and man
that has lived
within my heart.
she has held me,
when darkness
ate away at my intestines,
whispering reminders
of why I should be
alive.
she has
screamed profanities
at any boy
who dared
to hurt me.
unspecific? she is more than just that.
she is the sun
and I am the moon,
I am the night sky
and she is the stars,
she is mine
and I am hers.
Smoke and Mirrors
Lost in the illusion of you
Disorientating me with touch
Loosing ground within myself
Your voice haunting
As its echoes surround me
Like being swallowed by the sea
A fairytale with no ending
Tumbling deeper into you
Unable to escape
Even if I wanted to
But I don't
So let me stay
Lost
Forever
Beside you
I fell in love with the floor but midnight is inconsistent
the curtains are now open
but the stage is empty
light could never penetrate
the shroud you maintain
we are taking in this
vacant space
edges are unclear and none can say
where the real world ends
"we are actors
we are the opposite of people"
there is a microphone
amplifying the silence
there is a crowd
blocking the entrance
I've never seen such quiet
as when her heart
flew down from the ceiling
broken in her own expectation
of the separation of herself
drawbridges are difficult to build
and the easy ones
are hot to burn
"for all the world's compasses there is only one direction"
down
his and the rest of it too but not as eagerly
the simple sort
all I need is for you to fondle
my undone buttons
trace constellations
between my scars
breathe heavy
tuck my hair back
count my flaws
erase them all
I don't need adoration
or roses and proclamations
reach for my hand
scribble a note
feel my spine
kiss me
kiss me again
I don't need heavy words
I just need the simplicity of
your palm and my cheek
show me you are weak
but only with me
let me trust you not to
drop the case containing me
when the walls are flames
and the floor is fire
Intelligence, Nothing, Something, Stars, Planets, Life, Intelligence
First there was nothing. Then something happened. Something eventually transformed into a star, and the star soon gave birth to a planet. This planet - originally lacking water and air - eventually gave birth to cells, becoming plants, becoming fish, becoming lizards, becoming rodents, becoming apes, becoming humans, becoming angels.
i. I think she lost herself
in the Pacific Ocean,
while on the path between
finding him
and finding happiness.
ii. I think she liked
the way his fingers traced
her hips
and her lips,
making her feel like
a work of art,
beautiful.
iii. I think she threw up
her heart after sobbing for hours,
maybe days,
maybe weeks,
and I wasn't sure whether to
shove it back down her throat,
or hide it away.
(I shoved it back down her throat)
iv. I think she found herself
in the Pacific Ocean,
while on the path between
finding peace
and finding acceptance.
The wound
You pick and poke and care not where your sword lands
Accuse me of not being enough, not praising enough, not doing what you thought I should
But if being walked on is your idea of loving me then I sure as hell would rather take the "heartbreak"
Love
Just a four lettered hollow word you use to patch up my "flaws"
To make me think you truly care for me, think I'm beautiful, or strong
When you walked away I felt the final sting of heartbreak
You turned your back on me, on us, and everything we created
You leave holes too large for anything to fill and I fear I'll consist of nothing but fading aspirations if I chase after you
So I ache, and wait, for the next to come along and pray he doesn't do the same.
